HARARE – Warriors and Dynamos legend Misheck Chidzambwa has passed away.
He was reportedly unwell since last year.
Chidzambwa was the first national team captain to win a major silverware, lifting the 1985 CECAFA Cup at Rufaro after beating Kenya on penalties.
The team was coached by Mick Poole, who sadly died last week in United Kingdom aged 85 years.
He went on to win the second trophy for Zimbabwe fifteen years later at the COSAFA Cup tournament in 2000 becoming the first coach to achieve the feat.
The seven times league champion with Dynamos also had coaching stints with Chapungu and Blue Ribbon were he posted success.
He was 66.
