Zimbabwe bowed out of the Rugby Africa Cup after losing the semi finals 19-34 to Namibia in Aix-en-Provence, France on Wednesday night.
The defeat extinguished the Sables hopes of qualifying for the Rugby World Cup for the first time since 1991.
Zimbabwe have in the past struggled against Namibia managing only three wins in 33 meetings prior to Wednesday night’s match.
The Sables will now be hoping for a third place as they clash against Algeria in a third place play offs.
Namibia who have qualified for the last seven consecutive Rugby World Cups, will now take on Kenya in the final on Sunday.
The winner on Sunday will automatically qualify for the Rugby World Cup in France next year.
