Zimsec Releases Dates For November 2021 Exams

The Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has released timetables for the 2020 November candidates exams which were delayed by the novel coronavirus.

HARARE – The Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has released candidate timetables for November 2020 exams which have been delayed by the novel coronavirus.

Regular and Advanced Level exams start on December 1, while Grade Seven exams start on December 3.

Seventh-graders complete their exams on December 17, while final papers for advanced-level candidates are written on December 18.

Candidates at the regular level will take the Christmas season exams on December 18, retake on January 5 and complete final work on February 5.

Meanwhile, ZIMSEC announced that it will later release dates for 22 practical subjects at the advanced and ordinary levels.

ZIMSEC Board Chairman Eddie Mwenje outlined the process the exam regulator has in place to ensure the process runs smoothly.

“The dates of the practical subjects will be announced as soon as everything is fixed. However, we try not to shift the schedule too much, because if we did, we might not be able to get seventh graders to write and submit their results this year.

“So we are going to stick to the schedule as much as possible. We have parents who need to look for Form One places.

“Teachers at this level also need to take a break so that we don’t have too much pressure next year,” Mwenje said.
