HARARE – Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, who is also Minister of Health and Child Care, is in Cairo, Egypt for the inaugural Africa Health ExCon, which will run from June 5-7.
More than 2,000 delegates representing government health authorities from Africa and the Middle East attend the first-ever Africa Health ExCon, the continent’s largest medical exhibition conference.
Zimbabwe delegation is led by Chiwenga, who is leading the Zimbabwe delegation for the conference in Cairo said he will take chance to meet with potential partners for the health sector.
“The purpose of our visit is to attend a medical conference opened by the presence of Egypt, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sissi. I will also participate in the round table where a number of topics will be discussed.
“We will also have the opportunity to discuss a range of issues ranging from COVID-19 and what we as developing countries should do to address our medical situation in our countries. Many pharmaceutical companies will also be exhibiting,” said Chiwenga.
Companies operating in over 102 countries will participate in the conference, showcasing the latest medical technologies and outlining best practices for sustainable healthcare across the continent.
