Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker has opened up on the club's situation as AmaKhosi looks to end the season without trophy.

Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker has opened up on the club’s situation as AmaKhosi looks to end the season without trophy.

AmaKhosi have now gone seven years without winning a trophy.

Only Parker, Itumeleng Khune and Mulomowandau Mathoho have won trophies with Kaizer Chiefs, with the trio forming part of the 2014/15 title-winning squad.

“I feel for the players who haven’t gotten anything in terms of medals in their career because if you’re with Kaizer Chiefs it’s the occasion where you can at least get something for your career. But over the last seven years, it’s been a struggle,” Parker said.

Parker poured out his heart after the loss to Golden Arrows that effectively ended their title hunt.

“We’ve all felt the pain. We lost the points. We went into this game with confidence, but we got a surprise. ‘Football will kill you’ and we’ve come to see that every week we’re surprised.’
